Beginning Machine Quilting

Learn the secrets to successful machine quilting!  This class will teach you how to prepare your quilt for machine quilting, and how to choose from the many kinds of needles, thread, and batting available, and how to plan your quilting designs.  Discover how to use a walking foot to create classic quilting designs with straight lines, and no puckers on the back-side of the quilt.

Beginning Knitting

Want to learn how to knit?  We have the class for you!  Join us in learning the knit and purl stitch so that you can make a variety of projects.  With just the right combination of stitches, you can make a scarf, hat or a pair of slippers!  Also a great class to refresh your memory on the basics!

Brick by Brick

This great pattern by Rose Mason can be made in any size and has a log cabin type feel.  My sample cuts the brick size in half, but you may make it according to the pattern with fewer and larger bricks.  It’s an easy and fast pattern that looks great in many different fabric choices.  So pick your favorites!  This is a great beginner choice as it has few points to match.

Chenille Scarf

We will learn the easy technique of creating chenille fabric using luxurious rayon batiks to make this elegant accessory.  This technique can also be used with our wonderful line of flannels and brushed cottons!

Color Theory

Wondering how to choose a great fabric combination?  Let’s explore color together with hands-on exercises to give you confidence in choosing fabric.  Each session focuses on a different piece of the color puzzle.

Hand Quilting

Learn the basics of hand quilting including marking, laying out and basting your quilt.  Work on a small quilting sampler (pattern supplied in class) or your own quilt top.

Rag Time Quilt

Learn how to make this textured frayed-edged quilt.  This is a fun scrappy project so don’t worry about which color or fabric is next to each other or if a plaid is straight.  Use flannels for an extra cozy blanket for the one you love!

Seminole Table Runner

The perfect project for the beginner who wants a quick and easy project that can be completed in a weekend.  You will learn quick rotary cutting methods and strip piecing.  You will quilt and bind your project for a fun and fast table runner!
