Pickle Dish

Traditional quilt made of interlocking rings of foundation pieced arcs very similar to the double wedding ring.  The sharp points in the arcs and color combinations lend to the look of the old fashioned cut glass pickle dishes of the 1930s.  Wonderful quilt to use the 30s reproduction prints with bleached muslin background or spice it up using a black background with “brights” for the sharp points and the inside of the “dish”.

Snails Trail

Great Traditional Quilt.  Start with a simple 4 patch and add half square triangles around to build the block.  The placement of light and dark fabrics gives the block the look of spinning or turning around.   This quilt is a little more unusual because the blocks are set on point and framed by two borders.  Great quilt to use up all your scraps or use specific color choices.
