Summer is a wonderful time of the year to visit
our store. Our shop is a great place to visit whether you are
traveling across town or across the continent. Our location is
perfect for a rest stop for large motorhomes and trailers.
There is ample parking in our parking lot for these large
vehicles. We are located at an easy on and off ramp from the
Glenn Highway. So if you are coming to or going from
Anchorage, stop by for a quick look at Alaska's largest quilt
shop!
Eagle River is a great place to do business
outside of the rush and sprawl of Anchorage. Eagle River is
very RV friendly with almost all the businesses needed for a short
or lengthy rest and restocking stop. Eagle River has large
stores like Walmart, Fred Meyer, and Carr's Safeway.
There is a wide variety of fast food and not-so-fast food
places in town to refuel the body. Gas prices are usually the
lowest in the Anchorage area right here in Eagle River.
There are many RV-friendly gas stations here in
town.
Overnight accommodations vary with the
need. For those needing a room, the Eagle River
Microtel and Eagle River Motel are the two options.
Camping is available on the edge of town at the Eagle River Campground off the Hiland exit of the
Glenn Highway. This is a state-run campsite right next to the
beautiful Eagle River in Chugach State Park. While staying in
Eagle River, make sure to drive out to the Eagle River Nature
Center located 12 miles up the beautiful valley at the end of
Eagle River Road.
If you happen to be a visitor staying in
Anchorage and you need a ride to Eagle River to come check us out,
there are a few options for the short 15 mile trip from downtown
Anchorage. The Eagle River Shuttle is one of the most
convenient and cost-effective ways to get here vs. taxi.
Other options to get here include the People Mover
bus system, taxi, rental car, friends, family, and whoever else you
can get to make a quilt shop run to Eagle River!
